King of the Hill - Season 6
Hank Hill (the voice of Mike Judge) is the patriarch of his Texas family, a simple man trying to run a family, raise a son, and live a proper manly American life. However, the world refuses to cooperate, and Hank constantly grapples with all manner of difficulties and small-town challenges involving Peggy, his intelligent and enterprising wife; Bobby, his awkward and underachieving son; and his oddball blue-collar buddies. Creator Mike Judge followed up his BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD with this popular, hilarious, and surprisingly sophisticated and insightful animated series. In the 14 episodes of season six, Hank facilitates a reconciliation
of Vietnam and WWII veterans, joins an all-Asian country club, sells propane on a nude beach, and discovers that he has a Japanese half-brother.
King of the Hill - Season 5
By the fifth season of this popular animated sitcom, fans have become well-acquainted with the tics and idiosyncrasies of the lovable Hill family, and the level of hilarity they've come to expect is certainly maintained. Created by Mike Judge (BEAVIS & BUTTHEAD) and Greg Daniels (THE SIMPSONS, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE), the show features its titular "king" in the less-than-grand personage of Hank Hill (voiced by Judge), a propane salesman in Arlen Texas. He lives with his level-headed wife Peggy, and their awkward and overweight son Bobby. Peggy's sexy but clueless niece Luanne cohabitates with the family as well. Hank passes his free time with a motley crew of friends, and shaping Bobby into a more manly man. This season, Hank helps Bobby get a job as Buck Strickland's caddy, but disapproves when the two hit it off and Buck becomes a bad influence. Hank also takes Luanne under his wing, helping her to make an informed voting decision. Meanwhile, Peggy's sweet job at the high school turns into a living hell, when everyone gets mad at her for flunking a sports star.
King of the Hill - Season 4
King Of The Hill is one of the greatest animated sitcoms ever conceived, and by the time it had lasted for three seasons, it fast became apparent that it wasn't going to bomb like so many other animated sitcoms had. The show had managed to keep its appeal for many reasons - great storylines, plenty of comedy, and of course, the fact that it combined the talents of Beavis And Butt-Head creator Mike Judge and former Simpsons writer/producer Greg Daniels. Read on for my review of the fourth season.
King of the Hill - Season 3
This hilarious animated comedy series from Mike Judge, the creator of BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD, stars Judge himself as the voice of Hank Hill, the well-intentioned but misguided patriarch of the Hill family. A propane salesman by trade, he and his wife, Peggy, their son Bobby, and adopted niece Luann live in the ficticious Arlen, TX. There, Hank enjoys drinking beer with his friends, and tries to set a good example for his son as to what constitutes a "real man." Peggy is the voice of reason in his life, while the inarticulate Boomhauer, the paranoid Dale, and ex-military barber Bill, often wind up leading him astray. This season features Dale's foray into becoming a bounty hunter, a faux wedding between Bobby and Luann, Bobby proving to be an unmanly hunter on a deerhunting trip, and Peggy confounding
people with her magic tricks. Guest appearances by Matthew McConaughey, Dwight Yoakam, Billy Bob Thornton, Pauly Shore, and Mary Tyler Moore.
King of the Hill - Season 2
Enjoy the entire second season of Mike Judge's hilarious animated series, as Hank Hill (the voice of Judge) continues to hang out with his motley group of friends while struggling to be a responsible husband and father.
In capturing the ups and downs of small town life, Judge proves once again that he is one of America's funniest voices.
