The group's survival is due largely to their acquaintance with Veronica, a wild woman who was likewise stranded in the Lost World when she was a child. Growing up there, she gained valuable knowledge of the land and its dangers. The group encounter all manner of threats, ranging from dinosaurs and other creatures, to the mysteries of time travel, demons, and ghosts from the spirit world.
