Queer As Folk DVD: Finale Season
Showtime's QUEER AS FOLK was a groundbreaking show about the lives of a group of gay people living in Pittsburgh. The main characters--Michael (Hal Sparks), an insecure 29-year-old; Brian (Gale Harold), an ad executive who isn't into relationships; and Justin (Randy Harrison), a wide-eyed and innocent 17-year-old--helped break down boundaries and stereotypes,
while also providing compelling viewing. Sadly, the show came to a close in its fifth season, which is presented here in its entirety.
Queer As Folk DVD: The fourth season
Showtime's hit show QUEER AS FOLK has sparked a great deal of controversy, both for centering a show entirely around gay men, and for the subsequent portrayals of those men. Brian Kinney is the figure around whom the homosexual residents of a gay neighborhood in Pittsburgh coalesce. In SEASON FOUR, Brian's relationship with Justin is strectched to its limits, but also matures at the same time. Michael and Ben, another couple on the show, have to deal with Ben's sickness as well as the success of Michael's comic book featuring a gay superhero. Finally, Melanie and Lindsay face a threat to their relationship when Lindsay begins experimenting with her sexuality. QUEER AS FOLK: SEASON FOUR continues the acclaimed melodrama by maintaining its psychological exploration of the characters, and the many facets of the gay lifestyle.

Queer As Folk DVD: The first season
Based on the British television series of the same name that became a sensation abroad, Showtime's QUEER AS FOLK quickly became as big a hit in the US as the original was overseas. Focusing on the lives of three gay men (Michael, an insecure 29 year-old, Brian, an ad executive who isn't into relationships, and Justin, a wide-eyed and innocent 17 year old) and their circle of friends, the series has earned both critical praise and scorn for its unflinching look at gay life, love, and sex. Whatever one may think of the show's sexual content, QUEER AS FOLK is an undeniably compelling, funny, moving, and thought provoking series.
