Originally broadcast on British television between 1979 and 1982, SAPPHIRE AND STEEL picked up a cult audience of
sci-fi obsessives. The fans remained enthused by the show over subsequent decades, and their dedication has resulted in the release of the entire
season, as presented here. David McCallum and Joanna Lumley star as two futuristic detectives who solv discrepancies in time via some unusual methods. The show was low in budget and relied on special effects from the dark ages, but contained a charm and dark menace that simultaneously gripped and frightened viewers. The entire show is contained on this release.
