Jaye Tyler (Caroline Dhavernas) is a quirky young woman in her early twenties, and a misfit in her family of overachievers. She works at
a souvenir shop at Niagara Falls, and leads a pretty normal existence, until one day the extraordinary suddenly introduces itself into her world.
The inanimate animals that populate the shop begin coming to life, bearing cryptic messages that only Jaye can hear, and she can't tell if she's
hallucinating or if it's really happening. Her family thinks she's crazy, that's for sure, so she turns to her best friend Mahandra
(Tracie Thoms) for advice, and also befriends a local bartender named Eric (Tyron Leitso), who tries to help her figure out the truth.
